Western Ghats

We are providing here guidelines and first hand experience of staff and clients of Himadventures about Mysore, Coorg, Madhekeri area.

Hotel Siddharth: One of the best reported by our staff for value for money stay, one of the best food in city and very professional staff. www.hotelsiddharta.com

Hotel Ginger: Coming from TATA- this could be slightly expensive for those who are looking for accommodation below 2000 INR/ Day. But there is not doubt, one of the best stays in Mysore !

Adhi Manor: We liked this – value for money budget hotel with professional staff, it’s location – which is 50m from City bus stand.

Hotel Mahendra: Bad- Bad ! We got reports of heavy charging, below normal rooms and very unprofessional management. We would always suggest, not to ever try this.

Homestays in Madhekeri- Coorg: Never ever go unplanned near festival times- specially Dusehera. Whole Karnataka seems to be running for Mysore and Madhekeri. These are popular destimations and all accommodations are booked well in advance. Some good homestays in Madhekeri are NEST and Trekkers Lodge. They are close to Bus stand, incase you have your own vehicle, then avoid town and go in little remote to have real feel of this Scotland of India !
